The Mill River Estuary Foundation ("the Foundation," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through millriverestuary.com, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, through one of these forms on the site:

• Volunteer application — first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), the areas you're interested in helping with, and any skills or experience you share with us.
• Newsletter sign-up — your email address.
• Donations — donations are processed entirely by our payment partner, Zeffy. We receive your name, email, and donation details from Zeffy in order to acknowledge your gift and maintain our donor records; we do not process or store your payment card details ourselves — Zeffy handles that under its own privacy policy.

We do not use tracking cookies or advertising trackers on this site. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and our payment processor, Zeffy, may collect standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and operating properly, under their own privacy policies.

How we use your information

• To respond to volunteer applications and coordinate volunteer activities.
• To send the newsletter you signed up for.
• To acknowledge donations and maintain accurate donor and financial records.
• To operate, secure, and improve the site.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site and our programs, and only as needed for the purposes above:

• Zeffy — donation and payment processing.
• Formspree — handles submissions from our volunteer and newsletter sign-up forms and delivers them to us by email.
• Cloudflare — hosts the site and provides security and email delivery for our organizational inbox.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Foundation, our volunteers, or the public.

How long we keep your information

We keep volunteer, newsletter, and donor information for as long as reasonably necessary to carry out the purposes described above, or until you ask us to remove it.

Your choices

• You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by contacting us at the address below.
• You can ask us to review, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing us — see Contact Us below.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time as our programs and tools evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
